About Pawcasso
A little sketchbook for drawing animals with your footsteps.
Pawcasso is a GPS art route-planning app for animal-shaped running and walking routes. Pick an animal, a place and how far you’d like to go. Pawcasso searches real streets for a line that draws them, so your footsteps become the picture.
The app is getting ready to launch. Join the launch list or explore selected London route plans. Street layouts and distance affect what we can find; some searches may return no recognisable animal or no route.
Every animal is a little someone to get to know. That’s the heart of Pawcasso: a different way to see familiar streets, and the animals we share our world with.

Where the routes come from
Route data from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Contains information from OpenStreetMap, which is made available here under the Open Database License (ODbL). Read the OpenStreetMap copyright notice.
Every route the app finds can be exported as a GPX or KML file from that route’s own screen, free of charge — that is the route itself in machine-readable form. The route is assembled from paths and streets already in OpenStreetMap: the app selects from the map data and alters nothing in it.
Map details and imagery can be incomplete or out of date. Check pedestrian access before an outing and follow signs on the day. Our map help guide explains what to check and how to report missing details.
